Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Knowledge Engineer with strong expertise in Security, Compliance, Identity Management, Technical Documentation, SCIM, TSGs and Wiki content. The role will focus on improving the quality, governance, accuracy, security and usability of enterprise knowledge assets and establishing a scalable framework for future content.
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge Management & Governance
- Review and classify knowledge assets as technical/non-technical and validate appropriate routing to Agent Copilot, Wiki or other repositories.
- Make content AI-ready
- Validate PCY – Sub-PCY – SAP – Skills – Owner mappings and correct misclassified content.
- Content Applicability & Lifecycle
- Verify whether products, features and processes are still supported.
- Identify duplicate, outdated or obsolete content and recommend retain, update, merge or remove actions.
- Security, Privacy & Compliance
- Review content for sensitive information such as customer names, personas, email/phone numbers, computer/domain names, IP addresses/ranges and other confidential data.
- Assess content for security and compliance before publishing.
- Accuracy & Quality
- Validate technical accuracy, sources, statistics, terminology and links in collaboration with SMEs.
- Review grammar, formatting, acronyms, capitalization, readability, consistency and overall content quality.
- Accessibility
- Verify alt text, content structure, readability and accessibility of knowledge assets.
- External Publishing / SHS
- Review and tag assets for eligibility to be published externally on Microsoft Learn (learn.microsoft.com).
- One-Page TSGs
- Convert long and complex technical documentation into simple, concise, scenario-based one-page Technical Support Guides (TSGs).
- Knowledge Governance Framework
- Develop a reusable framework, checklist and quality gates covering routing, applicability, compliance, accessibility, accuracy, quality and publishing eligibility for all future content.
- Learning & Readiness Review
- Review and assess 700+ Learning & Readiness courses hosted on Cloud Academy against the above governance and quality standards.
- Identify gaps, prioritize remediation and work with SMEs/content owners to resolve issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-8 years of experience in Knowledge Management, Technical Writing, Content Engineering or Documentation Governance.
- Strong experience creating/reviewing TSGs, Wiki articles, troubleshooting guides and technical documentation.
- Technical Skills: Should be Expert in Git, ADO, Markdown
- Good understanding of Security, Compliance and Identity Management, preferably in a Microsoft/cloud environment.
- Knowledge on SCIM concepts and AI agentic skills is a plus.
- Strong technical writing, editing, content analysis and information-architecture skills.
- Experience working with SMEs and large-scale content repositories.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify technical, security, compliance and content-quality issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Learn, Agent Copilot, Cloud Academy or similar platforms is a strong plus.
