We are expanding in the Austin technology corridor and seeking a Business Development Executive to win enterprise and data center customers through direct selling, outbound prospecting, and high-touch engagement.

Role Overview

This is a quota-carrying hunter role with direct responsibility for customer acquisition and revenue growth in GPU/AI and data center services.
The role emphasizes cold calling, proactive outreach, and active lead generation at industry events, with OEM partners acting as accelerators, not the primary sales target.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Sales & Pipeline Development

· Proactively prospect enterprise and data center customers via cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and event networking.

· Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

· Drive the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, proposal, pricing, negotiation, and closing.

· Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual revenue targets.

Solution Selling

· Position Aptly’s service offerings:

o Data center build-out (design validation, racking, cabling, networking, OS install)

o GPU cluster deployment & optimization

o AI/ML infrastructure readiness

o Ongoing operations & managed services

Partner with internal pre-sales and delivery teams to present compelling, customer-tailored solutions

Qualifications (Hard Requirements)

· 5+ years in enterprise B2B sales (data center, cloud, GPU, or IT infrastructure preferred).

· Proven experience with:

o Cold calling into enterprise accounts.

o Outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone, social selling).

o Contact gathering and lead generation at industry events/trade shows.

· Strong track record of meeting or exceeding quota in solution-based sales.

· Excellent skills in prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closure.

· Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

· Self-starter with a hunter mentality and persistence to win new logos.

KPIs & Success Metrics

· New revenue closed from enterprise customers.

· Number of new logos acquired per quarter.

· Cold calls/outreach activity metrics (contacts made, meetings booked).

· Leads and opportunities generated from events.

· Pipeline growth and forecast accuracy.
